Mixing the heartfelt angst of a singer/songwriter with the angular dissonance of someone who listened to a lot of Dischord records' bands in the nineties, Jason Ogden is at once a renowned contributor to the punk scene in New Brunswick (NFA, Hospital Grade, Papal Visit) and someone who strongly refuses to be defined by a genre, described by Grid City magazine as being "admirably free in his vision as a musician and an artist." 2025 will mark the release of Ogden's debut solo album -- a document that mines the lo-fi gems of punky, bedroom-indie-rock that Ogden has hoarded for many years. Ogden’s goal on the recording of the album is to collaborate with many of the musicians he has met touring the U.S. and Canada over the years. This has yielded an impressive roster thus far that includes Chad Peck (Kestrels), Jim MacAlpine (North of America, Weird Nightmare), Ryan Brown (Glory Glory, Sunnyside Uppers), Corey Bonnevie (Little You, Little Me / Doctor Mother Father), Seth Jabour (Les Savy Fav, The 8G Band) and Steven Lambke (Constantines, Baby Eagle).
